The Museum of Contemporary Art Alicante (MACA) has opened its doors to the collections 'Arte Siglo XX' and Joan French and Eusebio Sempere, on display from Tuesday, in a facility of 4,600 square meters and three floors.
The museum was inaugurated on Tuesday in a ceremony in which they have been present Eusebio Sempere's sister, Concha - 91 years - and the sister and nephew of John French, in addition to the Mayor of Alicante, Sonia Castedo, regional secretary for Culture, Rafael Miró, the former mayor, Luis Diaz Alperi and representatives of cultural institutions Alicante.

The museum was built to designs by architects Sol Madridejos and Juan Carlos Sancho, who won the contest sponsored by the Department of Infrastructure, who contributed more than 11 million euros to the project.
