New MACA
By María Dolores Barbeyto Sirvent (painter)
Lord
editor of the daily Info: I welcome wholeheartedly the creation of new and newly renovated Museum of Modern Art and I say refurbished because the Museum of Contemporary Art in the streets of Alicante Villavieja existed long ago. I was one of the visitors who came to admire the art of our time for years and I remember some works that struck me, but not for his "modernism" and groundbreaking avant-garde, but his hyper. I was so impressed that these works in the stark reality is embodied with such force that I still have the memory in my mind. MACA was the ancient School of Business, our parents or grandparents there mostly studied accounting, that accounting primordial generation of the forties, but as a visual artist I prefer that this school has been transformed into a museum. I have not visited the new, but I will, inter alia, on the street because Villavieja was born and raised and go there is for me an added value to art: the longing of my childhood and my youth.

Prime Minister Elena Salgado

in Spain will be difficult to see a woman as prime minister. We are Arabs and macho thing in nature. There is only one woman president of Autonomy, Esperanza Aguirre. For a possible succession of Zapatero, I prefer the Machiavellian Carmen Chacon Rubalcaba, who did not want to hear from primary, but be appointed directly. Another issue is that the PSOE than back to win the next general election.
She naturally has qualities not possessed by a man called: integrity and loyalty. Corruption cases women are minimal. Therefore, at a time when political corruption is caused by genre much damage to the credibility of the citizens, it would be necessary to find a woman as president of the government. As Britain was Margaret Thatcher or Angela Merkel in Germany today. And in the authoritarian
Carmen Chacón (Minister of Defence) and Elena Salgado (current Minister of Economy and Finance), I would prefer to Salgado me a perfect candidate for president of the government. However, it is almost impossible to be because they belong to the national socialist party. But it is a woman who has all the qualities: integrity, loyalty, thrift, hard work and that "no one is home, and it is a" technical economics. " Not known to be involved in corruption case. Biography

........................... ..........
Elena Salgado was born in Orense. The university training course in Madrid. Is an industrial engineer in the fields of Energy Technology and Industrial Management from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, a graduate in Economics Structure specializing in Economics from the University Complutense of Madrid and Master in Quantitative Methods for Management by the School of Industrial Organization.

Between 1973 and 1981 developed his career in the Department of Economics and Finance at the School of Industrial Organization. Since 1982 he was part of all governments of Felipe González, with different responsibilities: Director of the Research Department at the Institute for Small and Medium Enterprises of the Ministry of Industry (1982-1984), Director General of Personnel Costs and Public Pensions Ministry of Economy and Finance (1985-1991) and general secretary of the Ministry of Communications Public Works, Transport and Environment (1991-1996). During the last months of the first socialist government and the Popular Party, Salgado was the general director of Lyric Theatre Foundation, a body established to manage the Teatro Real in Madrid after its reform. The opposition of the new Secretary of State for Culture, Miguel Angel Cortes, made it ceased in July 1996. He then moved into private enterprise, working in various companies in the consulting industry and telecommunications.

Appointed Minister of Health by José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero. His most significant measure was the smoking ban came into force in Spain on January 1, 2006. That year sucked, unsuccessfully, to head the World Health Organization, reaching the final stage, with four other candidates, which ultimately chose Margaret Chan (November 8, 2006). [2] Elena

Salgado was the Minister of Public Administration between July 6, 2007 and March 9, 2008. In the general elections topped the PSOE in Cantabria. On April 12, 2008 was confirmed again as Minister of Public Administration for the new legislature. seems incongruous that smoking is prohibited and allow yourself to buy women or men. The man is a hypocrite, does not mind the pain of others if their desires are met.

The State Council has already commented on a possible ban or not prostitution ads in the press. The institution has been advised to "limit" notices of contacts using a "rule with the force of law" while announcing calls for further contacts "is not crime." According

The report, in advertisements for prostitution, the woman is "a complete devaluation competing head on with his dignity as a person, which is incompatible with the property and legal values \u200b\u200benshrined in the Constitution and laws, so it should" restrict "the number of invitations to contacts.

reform raised by the Council would not be through the Criminal Code because, in his opinion, announce contacts should not be a crime. The reasons that led him to position in favor of the ban on advertisements for prostitution are essentially three.

First, because the "character" of the ads is against competition or facilitation and customer acquisition. The second, because after the ads may be protecting other activities that are prohibited by the Penal Code. The third and last, because they require the child protection laws, because "the press, at least the general, is widespread in society at large."

Finally, the Council left open the possibility of doing the same with prostitution ads that are released through other media such as television or the Internet. ...................

OPINION OF NEWSPAPER EDITORS ............
Newspaper publishers have warned that if the government attend to the report of the State Council issued and decided to "limit" contact inserts ads in newspapers, this medium would be discriminating and violating the fundamental right to advertise a legal activity.

For its part, the Ministry of Health, Social Affairs and Equal has announced that it will consider options put forward by the State Council regarding the removal of advertisements for prostitution of the press and set a timetable to reach agreement with political groups and the media with the widest possible consensus.

In a statement, the Association of English Newspaper Publishers (SAFE) expressed his "full legal opposition" to the report, considering that the advertising of any legal activity itself is covered by Article 20 of the Constitution, so that any limitation of a notice in the press immediately violate a fundamental right. EDITORIAL

.................. ............... NEW MOMENTUM
Prostitution is the modern-day slavery is a social evil impossible to wrong, is like the drug you can not stop it. Always paid to a woman or a man for sex is being purchased, and that purchase carries with it certain rights abuses or seigneur for payment. Which is just plain slavery. You can not buy a person. This is an inescapable principle of Human Derechois.
Thousands of women live in a state of slavery is Spain. Lock them in rooms without windows, they stick, they take money, and mcuh killed. Of them live pimps that have controlled. A business that makes millions and millions of profit, other businesses are concealed as the euros received by newspapers for advertising and announcement as "Deep Throat," "I eat everything," "submissive", "whip and masochism" "Kiss black ", etc ... Erotic magazines, films pornos, internt, etc, if this business is endless. Can not stop the sex industry, prostitution, but it is possible , allow for growth.
If this is not hypocrisy to social equality between men and women who come and see God. Busting the Anuncis of contacts, not going to end prostitution but at least prevent the dissemination of this necogio more and more profitable and more increases. I'm also sure mashista decrease violence or gender, because a high percentage of victims are from causes related to or connected with prostitution.
The press receives large revenues to these adds there's sex, that claims to be a ingerecia in free advertising and free speech. In these times of crisis a rabbit can feed a family, but not ethical, moral or common sense that you can buy a woman or a man for this purpose. Where estaríasn Human Rights? It seems incongruous
prohibiting smoking and allow yourself to buy women or men for sex.
not be a perfect society, a puritanical society to refrain from buying sex, drugs, alcohol or trabaco. Because living in society is precisely to live in anonymity.
But man is a hypocrite, does not mind the pain of others if their desires are met. When you buy sex feels powerful, money makes you powerful and power is the most terrible drug.

Years ago I wrote an article "NAKED AND PRINCESSES" , where my opinion was the same as today.

One morning in March halved from 12 plus 1, where the wind had stopped fighting to surrender to contemplate colors, the Association of Artists Alicantinos up their camp battle in the marina of Alicante. Yachts reflected in the metal surface of the sea like a Monet painting, as mills in the dream of a river still as a bisque. A yachts, to see us, they are hard put propellers and rudders that stiff dipped in blue for not seeing us fight. Spars with streamers swayed in a silent nod and sharp bows brujolearon defense aligned announcing resistance.

A table was Carlos Bermejo under his navy blue cap raised wings, looking navy knob, because the previous night passed without sleep, next to the radio listening to weather reports, it might rain, now with the Customs book noting the painters crossing present and those absent. In

row, staggered along the edge of the dock over seventy artists have posted pictures to show their art the public of lost steps. This show was like a walking exhibit. Have placed their easels loft and have drawn the swords of their brushes, already give to give to the canvas in the sky a glorious morning of March 1 dozen more in the port of Alicante. A stream of people walking aimlessly along the pier, sea front, surrounded by a wall that is pier with whips bollards where the ends of the yachts they hug tightly to avoid flying.

A pair of strong local police put a couple of painters who smelled of turpentine and oil paints, when they saw they were harmless they were left out of the reach of their looks strong and skilled. Because of the distance

came on the Mayor Sonia Castedo with his pants accompanied by Miguel Campoy, president of the Port, and pushed by the artistic sense of his blue eyes went to the tables where the children were trained by seasoned teachers, talked with them and felt for a moment bohemia and took the brushes Juan Antonio Poblador, and gave enough colors to a watercolor boat as it sails to sail out, let's call the title of this concentration of artists without bikes.

morning continued with its flutter delicious sea breeze. The sun warmed the iron balustrades and railings and put like embers. The public was coming as a crowd looking for an entry for the bulls, they kept looking at the generous hands of painters, who brushstroke to brushstroke and the greed of yellow, red anger and envy of cobalt blue. Tired of so much color, the curious pedestrians sat on the terrace of the bar. The painters were finishing their artwork and the edge of the 14 hours ended the lofts of their colors.
And when the owners of the colors are gone, the wailing docks tears. If the port had wings, plus Alapuerto to be called, had been behind like seagulls flying silly. Oh

dazzling land force Levante!, Gabriel Miró wrote to describe the port of Alicante in 1909 in the "Book of Sigüenza. Today, a century later, the port has undergone many modifications in the architecture according to the needs of commerce and economy of our province and city. It can distinguish more springs, such as those engaged in coastal shipping, or international loading and unloading container ships or cruise Volvo zone, or as a sport. As is the case in which the Alicantinos Artists Association, displays his brushes and their artists in the marina area also summons restaurants, casino and entertainment venues.

Association that will someday be declared by the City of Alicante and Interest Cultural, through its many activities, we will continue painting the air in this place where the wind can touch.

The Art of War

Mr Zapatero:
How well you could see the fence when you were in the opposition, rather than criticized Aznar because he got into the war in Iraq in talks with Bush in the Azores and Blair. And wing to pull the troops from Iraq in that game birloque art and brought to Afghanistan, then to Lebanon.
Now you Mr Zapatero "pacifist", put Spain in a war to defeat Gaddafi called on the Paris Summit.
Now what happens, it is no longer the peacemaker, the anti war. He does not stand up to the U.S. flag
you see how to govern is another very different thing from a political rally.
No war is good, very appropriate bands on television.
In international politics there is an issue called "positional strategic situation", ie a power like Spain in the Mediterranean can not, in good conditions us to be out of this conflinto. Now the excuse is not buiscar and destroy weapons of mass destruction "that never existed-de Sadan, is now defending the Human Rights Libyan rebels.
This time Nicolas Sarkozy has decided not to stay out of the picture of the Azores, as soon RICE interveció against the Iraq, and is the first to throw bombs. For Europe to remain at the mercy quierede United States as world leaders.
Zapatero could not be left out, because it's time to pay that Sarkozy will chair reserved in Washintong in the G-20, under President Bush. Why

war Sadan Hussein in Iraq was not fair, and now the war against Gaddafi in Libya itself is fair. Color all depends where you look tristal. Now it is right and against Sadan eight years ago was not fair.

As the international coalition, as mandated by the UN, including air bases to bomb Qaddafi, and a few magazines, it is delivered. Already last week, no one can resist a superpontencias outgun you and technology. This war will be short. A territory not conquered until the infantry, this work is harna-called "rebels" should be called liberators.

THE VALUE OF THE PAINTING
By Fernando Ortisso
(artist and art critic)

Dear Dolores: Your constant concern, your default, your "Age of Innocence," the girl's rebellious, unyielding that you always have inside leads you to these reflections, which are almost a million questions . This "value of art" has caused rivers of ink by critics, artists, gallery owners, essayists, and I find it impossible to cover here, even briefly. As a general framework, I recommend you read a classic of ours ORTEGA, "The Dehumanization of Art" that you framed this and other questions on the subject. Already in the last century, a renowned French critic, manual, do not remember whether or ARTAUD ARNAUD called, differed in any artistic work, three basic components:
"The material that is tangible in the work of art, media, media, colors, perceptible to the five senses
-The Heritage. That is the aesthetic component or contains. The largely subjective or objective assessment of their goodness or criticism of any work as "art."
-economic. Value "market"

None of these aspects, as expected, never enjoyed peaceful opinion and does not allow to draw conclusions pragmatic. Just let me say that on the third component to be addressed, such as PRICE any other economic good, understood in economic theory, as those few, identifiable and contingent, is the result of the interaction of two economic forces: SUPPLY AND DEMAND, ie three-dimensional works that do not differ in their behavior of other property transactions, and are subject to the laws of the market.
However, these "markets" for use or consumption, may be more or less liberalized or otherwise, operated or regulated by regulations, exogenous influences or powers, usually normal. And this art, it is, distorted by critical areas, collectibles, especially the public institutions, museums, etc, which become since the last decades to develop a kind of craft bag, to give references of stable value and to give some security and reliability to investors. In the proposed construction of the SAC, which has no "spaces" determined as the stock exchanges, have focused special interests, big collectors, gallery owners and influential dealers and auction houses around certain companies and copyright protection as the SGAE.
the whole arrangement, have emerged as a kind of virtual ART BAGS, now fueled by the Internet, lists or newsletters QUOTATIONS artists works and levels of detail, unexpected ago few years. As an example I cite the institution Artprice , recognized throughout the world who constantly edits all transactions and quotes a reference price is accepted for Valuations, Probate, Public and Private Valuations, etc.

These forces, say "pure" supply (quantity and want to sell) and demand (want to buy and more or less limited) in determining the prices are united in every kind of market forces, some natural or general, as now "economic crisis" and other artificial, fueled by the interaction of new business strategies, such as marketing applied. Advertising, Merchandising (good cloth is no longer sold in the ark) or speculative nature opera tions planned by institutions or particuales influential on the work of a particular artist, eg following the death of the painter, by monopolizing the bulk of his work by heirs, Foundations, by expectations of rising young artists emerging patrocinados.Incluso more or less has been said and written-off transactions to elevate a particular painter, as is said of the event and the Foundation MIQUEL BARCELO MARCH.Pero This also happens in the world of bullfighting, theater, music and what not to say in the literary sector, wilderness of interests, dominated by the Awards and the like Editores.Algo hostile takeover bids in the stock market slang.

Want all this means that economic assessments of the artists are arbitrary, capricious or the product of chaos and divorced from its aesthetic value or plastic? Or by chance or fate of an artist? STRICTLY NO. As in the great universal mandala. ALL necessarily the case. TIME, out of dark moods and interests, is the MOST CRITICAL TO THE MAXIMUM relent and WISDOM, and just leaving everything and everyone in their place of history in the Hegelian sense of perspective. It is interlocked with particular because all the great artists and teachers, among which, more likely, and rightly, do not appear (and I'm sorry this cruelty) NI TU NI YO. It is quite true that in the cast, ARE NOT ALL THEY ARE, but I am convinced that IF ALL THAT IS. And it would be redundant and even vulgar, to refer these considerations Al PICASSO your reflection.
Geniuses like him, have set milestones in the evolution of art, and luckily somehow also is Darwinian, "refining their species' natural selection and survival instinct. Foresight have marked the paths of art and marked its history, as the existential humans, it is only understandable as a "history of progress."
to all this we add, that in egregious production are Special canonized auteur pieces that have come to represent borders, symbols, icons, flags of movement, proclamations, or manifests plastic, do not miss that constitute true "object of desire of collectors suffer" persecution "and to plunder: Y Prices reached as unthinkable as the "only" bright Cunningham of the British Crown. And you notice the discreet price of Picasso. Did not say much more transgressive works such as "potty" of Duchamps, banner of "before and after" of contemporary art after the Kassel Documenta, the pot of "Artist` s Sheet Manzoni, the first " abstract "S / T Kandidinsky of 1911, Marilyn of Warhol, "The Sunflowers" by Van ghogh, "Le soleil d'avant" of Monet, or "The Bridge" by Munch, who have sheared and 1000 million ...?
